The park is home to various species, such as lions , elephants , giraffes, 11 species of antelope including the Derby eland , the largest species of antelope in Africa, antelopes , damalisques , Buffon 's waterbucks , hartebeests , panthers, hyenas , bush pigs and warthogs . There are also hippopotamuses , buffaloes , more than 300 species of birds. Rhinos appear to be extinct in Cameroon. Major efforts are currently underway to develop the park and the services offered. Nearby is the prehistoric site of Managna , where hundreds of dinosaur tracks can be seen on one of the largest slabs in the world .
